Next week we will be starting reading groups. Look for your child to bring home reading books. Be sure to read the book with your child each night and return the book to school the next day. READ!! READ!! READ!!
FYI- last year Ben kept "forgetting" his book at school. Hopefully this year will be better. I told him to put it right into his backpack first thing. So we will see
I have the students put their bags in their backpacks as soon as their reading group is over. So, leaving books at school shouldn't be a problem in my classroom. We'll make sure the cloak room is empty before we let anyone leave. ;)
Cloak room? Are we teaching in the 19th century where people need a place to hang their cloaks? Will the debate ever end? Coat room or cloak room....you decide!
I moved to Tennessee from Georgia in 1997 to attend Lee University. I graduated in 2001 with a BS in Health Sciences. After graduating with my MAT in 2004, I began teaching first grade at Arnold. On July 25, 2009 I married Billy Smith who was introduced to me by an Arnold PTO member. Arnold has been a very important part of my life for the past six years.

ReplyDeleteI've already decided, lady! My choice is "cloak room" to the bitter end! When cloaks come back in style, you'll be sorry you ever said "coat room"!
